As part of the Ta’ziz Science Cooperation Project (2023–2025), Ragab Kamal Abouhalima, PhD student at Philipps-University Marburg, took part in a scholarly visit to the Research Library in Gotha. The visit focused on Islamic manuscripts of Egyptian origin that were transferred to Germany in the eighteenth century, with particular attention to texts related to the Hajj and the Hijaz. Combining material analysis, textual study, and digital perspectives, the workshop offered valuable insights into the circulation of Egyptian knowledge and material heritage and its lasting impact in German collections.
